Body Kinetics Risk Assessment April 12th 2021 onwards
There are two main areas of risk involved with running a clinic during flare ups of COVID: the treatment space used and the person to person contact.
Risk from The Treatment Space
To make the treatment rooms as safe as possible there will be:
Our current belief is that airborne transmission is the biggest risk and adequate ventilation is the key factor in the environment.
Risk from Person To Person Contact
Please do not come to clinic if you have COVID. If you show symptoms of COVID-19 in the week after your appointment, please inform me. I will not charge you for late cancellations where you have exposure to COVID, symptoms or a confirmed positive test result.
To reduce the risk inherent in person to person contact:
There are two main areas of risk involved with running a clinic during flare ups of COVID: the treatment space used and the person to person contact.
Risk from The Treatment Space
To make the treatment rooms as safe as possible there will be:
- Regular professional cleaning of space
- Cleaning of surfaces touched before and after each client.
- Limiting surfaces touched.
- Clients requested to wash hands immediately on arrival.
- Ventilation of space during and after clients
- Gap between patients sufficient to fully clear the air.
Our current belief is that airborne transmission is the biggest risk and adequate ventilation is the key factor in the environment.

To reduce the risk inherent in person to person contact:
- Patient to wear a face mask, ideally one that allows me to work around it so that it can stay on for the entire treatment.
- I will be using the PPE equipment that the government suggests.
- The style of work I do needs me to work on the head and neck, but this time is limited to the bare essential work only
- The periods of rest during the treatment mean that I will not be next to you during the whole treatment.
- The time you will be on the table (including the breaks when I will not be within 2 meters of you) is normally 20 minutes or less. The shorter treatment time and the use of breaks makes the work I do significantly lower risk than almost all other kinds of therapy.
- Don’t bring others unless a third person is needed as a chaperone (e.g. a parent for a child under 16 or carer). The chaperone will need to stand at least 2 meters away.
- I have had two vaccinations and the booster shot as of December 2021. Trials suggest that those who have been vaccinated and still contract COVID-19 have a smaller viral load than those who have not and are less likely to transmit the virus to others.
